Although I have practiced orthodontics for over 25 years, I am more passionate than ever about creating a beautiful new smile for each and every one of my patients! I look forward to each day that I am privileged to be a part of the process. It is so rewarding to see the positive impact that a stunning smile has on each person. It is such a gratifying experience to witness their transformation in appearance and self-esteem. One of the many highlights of my job is really getting to know my patients and their families as they become part of the Harrison Orthodontics family!
I received my undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Mississippi. I then attended the University of Mississippi, School of Dentistry where I was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU), the National Dental Honor Society, and was a Magna Cum Laude graduate. Following this, I attended MUSC in Charleston where I received my Specialty Degree in Pediatric Dentistry. While practicing as a Pediatric Dentist, I became very interested in Orthodontics and decided to pursue the necessary training to become an Orthodontist. I attended the University of Tennessee where I received a Master’s Degree in the Specialty of Orthodontics. My dual specialty degrees have provided me with a unique training and experiential background especially in the treatment of children.
Along with my team, I regularly attend continuing education courses and participate in various study clubs to stay on the “cutting edge” of orthodontics and to continue offering our patients proven state of the art treatment. In order to provide our patients the best orthodontic experience possible, I have obtained additional training in Invisalign®, Invisalign Teen™, Temporary Anchorage Devices (TADs), Growth Modification Appliances, Damon System self-ligating brackets, and laser treatment.
I maintain several professional memberships that provide year-round opportunities for continuing education including:
- American Association of Orthodontists
- Southern Association of Orthodontists
- Greenville Dental Society
- South Carolina Association of Orthodontists

When not in the office, I love spending time with my wife, Trish, and our sons, Daniel and Matthew. I enjoy many types of physical exercise, but especially enjoy weight training and running on a regular basis. My other hobbies include scuba diving, beekeeping, hunting, fishing, and traveling. Seeing other parts of the world, meeting new people, and learning about their culture is one of my favorite things to do!
